Just a short note today to share with you some market research that has come my way and has been validated in my own online business.
First, a word of background.
As you know, and you're probably tired of hearing me say it, I've been doing this online thing full-time for 26 years now.
In that time, I've seen a huge variance in approaches of marketing, price points, offers, funnels, blogs, etc.
My goal is now and always has been to share with my customers what's working now, so that's why I'm sending you this email.
The title of this email is "It's Time to Go Low," and that's because it's time to go with low-priced offers.
The people want it.
The market has validated it.
I've tested it and validated it as well.
The thing that prompted me to write to you today about this is that a client who's been a master member for four years now wrote to me and said the following.
"I'm being told that it's just as easy, or easier, to make a higher-priced offer, like $4,000 or $5,000, than it is to make a $47 or $97 offer."
My reply was very simple.
I said, Mark, is it easier for you to spend $5,000 or $50?
Now, I get that we have to pump up the value proposition, create urgency, and do all these things in marketing, but here's the first thing we need to do before we do any of those things.
We have to look around and say what's happening in the world.
What's happening in our world right now is that the economy is questionable, the security of the world is questionable, people feel like AI is going to eat everything and put them out of a job, and, just generally speaking, it's an insecure time.
Now, in an insecure time, history has proven without a doubt that people gravitate toward a low-priced offer first before they go for a higher-priced offer.
Here's my advice to you: if you're in a position to make offers of your own, then inject a low-priced offer at the beginning of your sales process.
Not free - low cost. The last thing you need is to build a list of freebie seekers.
Let them buy the low-cost offer first, and then talk to them via email, text, follow-up, whatever you use in order to make a higher-priced offer.
But what if you're an affiliate marketer and promoting somebody else's product?
in that case, here's what you want to do: you want to create a low-cost offer that is very high value but low cost.
In the age of AI, this is the easiest thing in the world to do.
Here are the basics …
Put it up on a landing page of its own.
Don't mix it with other offers.
Sell it for $17.
Create a beautiful cover image for it.
Make sure it's worth $100, but sell it for $17.
Three things are going to happen if you do this right:
You're going to make $17 sales, and that's going to put some cash in your pocket.
More importantly, you're going to begin building a list of buyers.
After the person's bought your $17 offer, it's just one-click simple to send them to the big offer that you're promoting as an affiliate.
So there you have it. I know the style of this email is unusual.
I'm actually using Wispr Flow to speak it out versus typing it with my hands, but this is important information. I want to get it out to you as quickly as I possibly could.
