New This Week
A reader emailed me this week feeling behind. Everyone around her seemed to "get it," and she didn't.
Here's what I told her.
You are not behind. You are early, and you are paying attention, which is more than most people do.
The people who win online are rarely the smartest in the room. They are the ones who keep showing up and keep learning one small thing at a time.
So if today feels like a lot, slow down. Pick one idea below and use it. That is how real progress happens.
Let me know if you need help.
Digital Marketing That Converts
What is conversion really?
I’m a very conversion focused business person. I want to know that I know how something performed AND want to know that it can be repeated.
Repeatable systems are THE key to succeeding online long term.
Take social media for example.
It’s one of the hardest areas to measure but measuring results is vital.
If post on social and don’t know if it’s working, try this …
Step 1 - Write your post without a link in the body. Platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn quietly suppress posts that send people away from their site. No link means more people see it in the first place.
Step 2 - Then immediately comment on your own post and drop your link there.
Feels weird, right? But it works like crazy.
This does two things. It keeps the algorithm happy so your post gets shown to more people. And it gives the people who are genuinely interested a clear next step to take.
Now here is the part most people skip.
Step 3 - Use a trackable link. A free tool like Bitly takes 30 seconds to set up and tells you exactly how many people clicked, and when.
Suddenly you know the truth. Not how many people scrolled past. How many people actually wanted to know more.
That number is your real conversion data. Once you have it, you can start improving it.
A post that gets 200 views and 12 clicks is doing something right.
A post that gets 200 views and zero clicks is telling you something important.
Start measuring. The gap between posting and profiting almost always comes down to knowing which one actually worked.
AI Made Easy
A year ago, doing real work with AI meant wrestling with settings, plugins, and code. If you weren't technical, the door was mostly closed.
That door is open now.
Today you can describe what you want in plain English and get a working result back, whether that's a sales page, a research summary, or a simple tool you can sell.
It’s called vibe coding.
I show people how to do this every day and they always freak out a little.
“Create an entire site by simply saying what you want?”
Yep.
Here is the part people miss. You don't need to be technical to take advantage of this. You do need to know HOW to get what you want.
Everyone who comes to me for advice knows what they want.
Very few know what to do in order to get what they want.
In other words - they want to make money online but don’t know how to get started making that happen.
If that sounds like you, use the prompt below. It’s a great place to start and will clarify your thinking.
Go to your favorite AI tool (literally any of them will do) and use this prompt. You can just copy it right now and paste it in, filling in the details specific to your life.
START PROMPT
I want to start making money online but I'm not sure what kind of business fits me best. Before you give me any suggestions, please ask me the following questions one at a time and wait for my answer before moving on:
What do you enjoy doing in your free time, even if you've never thought of it as a business?
What do people ask you for help with most often - at work, at home, or among friends?
What jobs, careers, or life experiences have you had that taught you something valuable?
How many hours per week can you realistically dedicate to building something new?
If money weren't a factor, what would you spend your days doing?
Once I've answered all five questions, review my answers and give me a list of 5 to 10 online business ideas that would be a strong fit for me specifically. For each idea, tell me why it matches my answers, what the realistic earning potential looks like, and one simple first step I could take this week to explore it further.
Keep your suggestions practical and grounded. I'm looking for real opportunities, not hype.
END PROMPT
